Hot Air Ballooning

Hot Air Ballooning is a relatively new activity to Sri Lanka, but in response to the ongoing search for new and exciting ways of seeing the country, it provides a remarkable experience never to be forgotten. With no two flight paths the same, it really will be a unique journey. All hot air balloons are manufactured in the UK, where balloon pilots are also trained by instructors licensed by the Civil Aviation Authority of Sri Lanka. Throughout the flight, an experienced ground crew (following the flight path in a jeep) is in constant communication with the pilot of the balloon, ensuring that everything runs smoothly. So all you need to do is relax, enjoy the peace and quiet and admire the views of Sri Lanka!

The Hot Air Balloon flight is made up of total travel experience of approx 4-hrs duration starting with your arrival, the preparation and inflation of the balloon, flight briefing, takeoff, the flight, landing & retrieval and return to your hotel after a champagne breakfast.

~ kids under 7 years old and pregnant ladies will not be allowed to take the balloon flight.
~ You are advised to allocate a maximum of 4 hours for your balloon excursion's ( from pick up to drop off ).
~ Pick up time 4.30, 5 am depend on the location.

Surffing

With a wide range of excellent locations on both the east and southwest coast (each suitable at different times of year according to the monsoon seasons) Sri Lanka is a year-round surfing destination. Sri Lanka has been recognised by the international surfing community for some time now, with the east coast's ARUGAMBAY boasting an annual international surfing competition and HIKKADUWA hosting National Championship of the Japanese Pro Surfers Association in early November. So whether you're an expert or a beginner looking to ride the white stuff for the first time, there's something for everyone!

Village Tour

Hiriwadunna is just 02 Km (05 minutes - drive from Habarana) The trek through the archetypal Sri Lankan Typical village. The trek begins with an awesome walk along a bund of a ‘Wewa’ or manmade reservoir. The reservoir itself, the surrounding scrub jungle, marshland and village are a hive of early morning or an evening activity. The amazing birdlife, butterflies and possible sightings of crocodile only add to the charm of seeing the villagers as they go about their early morning tasks of fishing, or washing clothes at the periphery of the lake.

Deep-Sea Fishing

As the waves plummet the sides of the boat and the sea birds call above your head, the ocean’s scent and the thrill of the chase is exhilarating.

Shark, Marlin, Tuna, the big names in deep-water game fishing roam Sri Lanka’s deep seas. Closer to shore the calmer waters teem with a variety of species, and the hospitable local fishermen are only too willing to invite visitors to join them on their daily or nightly excursions off the coastline.

Diving

The ocean around Sri Lanka whispers of tales bygone, ones of regal maritime visits, of bandits and pirates and journeys of explorers and spice merchants. As you plunge into the warm waters andhik
dive below, these stories come to life. The crystal clear waters of the Indian Ocean with a visibility of 20 meters (65ft) provide perfect conditions for diving. With wrecks as dated as the 18th Century dotting the seas, deep reefs and reef walls provide enthralling explorations for scuba divers. For the less adventurous on-shore coral reefs are ideal for snorkelling. The abundant marine life found around the island is surpassed only at Hikkaduwa in the southern coast where the reef is thought to contain more species of fish than the Great Barrier Reef.

Whale Watching

The ever smiling, mischievous dolphins will put on a show while some of the oldest and the largest sea creatures, the humpback and the blue whales, will nonchalantly glide past you, when you embark on a whale/ dolphin watching excursion off the Southern, Eastern or the West coast of Sri Lanka. The ideal locations for whale watching would be Dondra Point (accessible from Galle, Hikkaduwa and Mirissa) and Trincomalee while the sea off Kalpitiya teams with an abundance of dolphins.
